Tickets are available exclusively from the Carterton Event Centre and online from www.cdc.govt.nz/daffodil.

The train departs the Carterton Railway Station at 10.50am sharp!! We strongly suggest being at the station around 10.30am, as many people are expected in Carterton for the Daffodil Festival (which includes an awesome variety of market stalls in the main street). The Daffodil Festival means parking is at a premium, so please allow extra time. The train arrives at the Masterton Railway station at 11.15am and departs at 12.50pm for Carterton, arriving at Carterton at 1.15pm. During the layover of 95 minutes in Masterton, the steam locomotive is serviced and reconnected to the train for the return to Carterton.

There will be some food vendors operating at Masterton.

The Carterton Railway Museum which is situated inside the Carterton Railway Station will be having a free open day. The Fell Locomotive Society will be operating a sales table in the ticket office waiting room. There will be a sausage sizzle at Carterton station.

Carterton’s main street is just 500m from the railway station. There will be a Surrey (wagon) with two horses operating rides on Broadway near the station for a minimal cost.

The free buses out to the Daffodil picking leave from the corner of Masson Street and Broadway. Picking finishes at 3pm.
